What our visitors say

5 out of 5 starsMalcolm Adams30/11/2025Fantastic mini day out. The illusions are mind blowing and so much fun. An excellent way to enjoy your day for 2hrs, could've spent even more time there, them puzzles were hard to work out. Great for all the family to enjoy. Highly recommend the Museums of Illusions - Manchester.
5 out of 5 starsKate Worthy20/11/2025I came here on Saturday with my mother, sister and 3 children aged 4-8 and was highly impressed from the beginning.
Organisation with lockers at start (free) meaning we got to really get involved.
Thru to the well maintained varying areas during the journey.. the house, the bridge and the basin being some of my favourite ( not giving too much away for others to enjoy their first times!)
But the kids loved best being spidermen for a moment and a special thanks to freia for her patience and enthusiasm when getting a perfect photo.
We will return and thankyou
Kate

Would recommend for people to check out “kids pass app”
5 out of 5 starsMehdeey12/11/2025My visit was quite entertaining, cool and fun. Went with my cousin and friend and had lots of laughs and made some lovely memories. We forgot our worries and felt like children for a bit and I cherish that so much.
The staff were also very friendly and kept offering to take pictures of us as we journeyed through. We thought that was so kind and adorable.
5 out of 5 starsSarah E11/11/2025We absolutely loved our visit today. We went in on the 10am slot and were the first people in there. It was lovely and quiet so we had plenty of time to look and interact with the exhibits.
We found a couple of them were absolutely hilarious and couldn't stop laughing at the results of the pictures!
The staff were so friendly and helpful and we'll definitely be back.
5 out of 5 starsSara Simone07/11/2025Amazing experience. I went with my son and my sister. There are so many different visual illusions and everything is explained accurately. Besides, you can have so much fun, taking funny and surreal pictures and having them taken by members of staff as well. The money you pay is definitely worth the experience they offer you.
5 out of 5 starsD J05/11/2025We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this wonderful place. It is indeed a must-visit destination. This fantastic location provided a great deal of enjoyment, particularly for our children. The entire staff was exceptional, and we would like to specifically commend Mr. Jack for his proactive and outstanding service. Thank you.
5 out of 5 starsArturo G-C01/11/2025We found this wonderfully entertaining experience through a last-minute google search. It was within walking distance of our lodging. We laughed, we learned, and we loved all the beautifully realized optical illusions. The staff -- Sophie, Izzie, and George -- were fun, professional, and accommodating -- as we arrived a few minutes late for the last entry. Speaking of which, the posted hours online and outfront were different from the actual closing time, which contributed to our tardiness. We recommend correcting that so as to avoid confusion in the future.
5 out of 5 starsMonika McAuley31/10/2025We went as a family with a 7 year old child and got a voucher on woocher and had a great time. Mind you, it was busy and you had to wait for some attractions but my kid loved it and we had a great time! An amazing attraction for the whole family with tons of pictures taken.
5 out of 5 starsAlice Coates31/10/2025We had a great time. I visited when they had the offer on where it was free for teachers. I don’t know if I would pay full price.
Staff were super kind and helpful.
They have buggy and pram storage.
We had a great time. Thank you.
We went as it opened and it was a bit quieter.

Tony Samia16/04/2025We had an absolutely amazing time at the Museum of Illusions in Manchester!
My daughters and I visited a few days before Ivy’s birthday, and it turned out to be the perfect place to celebrate.
The staff surprised her with a special gesture and a birthday card signed by all the staff, making her day truly unforgettable. We’re so grateful for their kindness and hospitality. Highly recommend this place for a fun and memorable experience!Read moreRead less
Jake Frater06/03/2025Me and my daughter went at peak time on a Saturday, i wouldn't say it was overcrowded at all. There were 2 or 3 illusion rooms you had to queue at, but it was only for a matter of minutes. It moves relatively quick. The staff are on hand to take pictures from your phone so you and the whole family can get some great pictures. Staff are walking around wiping things down regularly to make sure it's nice and clean. My daughter is 7 and she absolutely loved the whole thing. We spent 1 hour 45 minutes in there, just having a good time. There were other kids there at different ages and I could see that they were enjoying it too. There's an educational description on each illusion piece or room to explain how it works which is amazing. They also have a little puzzle and games area to test the kids minds and if they enjoy it, there's a shop that sell some of the games too and I would say it's a reasonable price for the products in there.Read moreRead less
Prameyratna Kadam14/02/2025An enjoyable experience. It's more fun if you visit in a group with family and/or friends. You're limited only by your imagination. The staff are super friendly, happy to take pictures and give ideas. The vortex tunnel is mind boggling. Buy tickets online, there are discounts for students and blue light card holders. Have fun!Read moreRead less
dale burroughs03/02/2025We went here on a busy Saturday afternoon, our entry time was 4pm. Lots of people in here with no real control over how many could go in at any one time, this caused many of the bigger illusions to have queues..lots of helpful staff who were at the bigger illusions to take your photos using your own phone which was a really nice touch..much bigger than I thought too.. revolving tunnel is a classic and still makes me wobble great fun..38.50 for myself and my 12 year old daughter, she loved it tooRead moreRead less
Jack Punnett16/01/2025We visited this museum on a whim after finding a video of the place on TikTok and our expectations were exceeded! The place was well laid out and the staff were very welcoming and helpful asking if we wanted a picture taken together whilst trying out the illusions. The place was clean and everything was working as it should be. We would like to mention that Jess went the extra mile with us and helped us solve a couple of puzzles here and there. Fun day out and will definitely be worth it if you’re passing by!Read moreRead less
Lucy12/01/2025Other than the busyness (which can't be helped and was handled very well), this place was so fun. Customer service was really good and the staff are lovely. They volunteer to take your photos, and they show you how to get the best shot. You don't need to ask. They are just there to help. Even with a load of people, they kept on top of it with the hygiene and mirror cleaning to make sure everyone had the best experience viewing the different illusions. They weren't short of staff, and I am impressed, I 100% recommend the museum. It is good fun and educational too. Any questions are answered in the descriptions next to some illusions. In advance, make sure to leave time to park, and the toilets are as you head into the actual viewing bit of the museum. They have a shop too and it is very interactive which you can't go wrong with! £21 for museum seems expensive, but I would say it was worth it. Order tickets online and in person too ☺️ Here are a few photos, but I don't want to spoil the fun. It's definitely great for family, friends, couples, everyone, and people who like to post on social media!Read moreRead less
Emily Blakey03/01/2025My boyfriend and I travelled down from Newcastle and came across this venue and we had an absolutely amazing time here; so many different things to look at and was incredibly interactive. The best part was everything was laid out so user friendly and had detailed instructions on how to interact with everything and had stickers on the floor showing where to stand to get the best photos. It also had many interesting facts about the illusions and how they were created making it highly educational whilst being extremely entertaining. 10/10 would recommend and would visit again in the future.Read moreRead less
Christine Parkes-Lewis05/12/2024Went mid week and had such good fun. There were 4 of us, ages ranging between 14 and 45, and we all loved it. Plenty of time for photos when wanted and the staff were available to help when needed. We spent around and hour and a half going round and attempting the puzzles.Read moreRead less
Helen Arthurs01/12/2024Great place! Smaller than I expected but we spent a good hour or so here. Loads of hands on & staff mor than happy to help with taking photos for you (with you phone - not another add-on expense like some places)! They must have the happiest most engaged staff taking time to chat to you. Best customer service I've experienced in a long time. Shout out to Gabriel!Read moreRead less

Minty21/11/2024Wow what an awesome place. Some of these illusions are just mind blowing. Lots of crazy stuff to see here, we spent around a 1 - 1.5 hours here. Really enjoyed our visit here even my 1 year had fun on some these illusions. Staff here once again very friendly, everyone was kind and bubbly made the experience even better. Do book online as its cheaper I believe (we literally booked it before we left to get there) Parking is a bit of a pain mainly because we was visiting from London so don't know the area well but I believe the Arndale shopping centre has a paid parking lot you can use but luckily I found some on stret parking very close by. Definitely worth a visit if you ever get the chance very fun and unique experience 😊Read moreRead less

M Shafiq L10/11/2024A must if you’ve never been to illusion museums! The team there are fantastic. They were really friendly and helpful and explained a lot without us even asking. They would approach us randomly and give us insight on some of the illusions or just make sure we were enjoying ourselves really! The illusions were great fun and worth the price for the experience. In particular Charles (didn’t get his name initially but asked the staff when leaving) was very helpful to us when we were inside. The Afro Caribbean security guard (sorry didn’t get your name) was also a good laugh when we came to get tickets and when we were leaving, top guy!Read moreRead less

And i would like to mention that the staff is so friendly and lovely, asking if everything is OK and offer to take pictures. Strongly recommend to visit By the way, there is a for students and retired So do not forget to bring the proofRead moreRead less

Leobardo Arguelles23/10/2024It was great, no other way around it. Totally worth it, my group spent SO much time solving puzzles, it’s a blast, and all the illusions have pointers on where to stand and from where to take pictures so that you get the full, magical effect. Krystyna Rowley30/09/2024This was such a fun and different afternoon out! Loads of stunning illusions to explore and some great photo opportunities! All the stuff we're really welcoming, helpful and enthusiastic which was really refreshing compared to some attractions we have visited. They were also on hand to help take the occasional group photo and explain things. Really good crowd control too, considering it was the opening weekend and the place was busy. Most illusions were free to walk straight up to, but others there was a max, 5 mins wait. The toilets were brand new, so fresh and large cubicle made it easy to assist the children. The free lockers for coats and bags was a nice touch too and mebtbi didn't have to carry my brolly around! We are really happy with our visit and think it was definitely value for money.Read moreRead less

Irina Ka31/05/2025Our first time here today. Personally I didn't think it was all that bad. There are a few things I liked and didn't.
Positive: staff was friendly, illusions were great, toilets were very clean compared to others, lockers present to leave your stuff, thought it was great if you going with kids.
On a downside: overpriced, long queues to participate in illusion, people queuing behind you and I felt like I need to hurry up, tho they were very patient and polite, a bit small for what you pay- started feeling claustrophobic after spending 30 minutes, gift shop a bit overpriced.Read moreRead less
LM H16/05/2025Can you believe your eyes!?
We visited during the term-time week, so the museum wasn't busy. We were able to take our time wandering around, enjoying and taking photos with the illusions. The tickets to visit are expensive, I recommend buying tickets in advance online and searching Google for any promo codes. Free lockers are provided for your coats and bags. All you need is your camera. As you walk around, there are guides to take group photos for you and show you where to stand to obtain the best illusion. If guides are not close by, there are markers on the floor showing you where to stand/sit. Hold on to the railings when you walk through the vortex tunnel, it's headturning. There is no dining facility or cafe for drinks, but plenty of places to grab a bite nearby. Parking was an issue due to the ongoing roadworks, road closures, and reduced on street parking available.Read moreRead less
